Deep Sea Designer is a personal project I worked on during the entirety of 2023. After gaining inspiration from my trip to Adobe MAX in 2022, I wanted to start a year-long project that would have me designing, researching, writing, and testing my organization and project management abilities. From that, the Instagram account @deep.sea.designer is a cumulation of long hours and dedication to a subject I am most passionate about: our oceans. While the writing involved with this project may seem simple enough, the challenge surfaced on whether I could present the copy in a way that works well with Instagram and social media in general - to engage with an audience trained to read two lines and move on. There’s certainly more that can be improved upon this project in the future, revisions to be made and designs to be refined. For now, it lives as an incredibly fun and challenging year-long project that I am forever proud of.
